This arrangement is for string quintet (normal quartet + Contrabass) with piano. A separate arrangement also exists for string quartet, but this version is far preferred.

A variable-length instrumental arrangement of the PLAINFIELD tune by Robert Lowry, with lots of quotes of “There Is a Fountain Filled With Blood” (FOUNTAIN; CLEANSING FOUNTAIN). To add length to this arrangement, pencil in a repeat from the end of the third bar from the end (bar 77) to the beginning, and cadence where necessary.

This arrangement is designed (and “field tested”) to be easily played without a conductor.

For the Quartet version, first and second violin parts are identical, but viola, cello, and piano parts are not(!).
