A new arrangement of Fanny Crosby’s moving hymn, based loosely on the original tune by William H. Doane.

This arrangement is for men’s quartet (or chorus) and piano. It begins in 3/4 time instead of 4/4 and in a minor key, then changes to major for the final verse and chorus.

PDFs of 2 parts are provided in a zip file. The Vocal Score is for the quartet’s use, with smaller piano staves and 6.6 mm vocal staves. The Piano Score has 7 mm staves for the piano and 5.25 mm vocal staves. Additionally, the Piano Score’s page-turns are optimized so that it can be printed double-sided (with page 2 on the back of page 1). There is sufficient page-turning time at the end of page 1 and at the end of each following 2-page spread.
